Argyle have been drawn away to Bristol Rovers in the round of 16 in the Vertu Trophy.
The two sides met in the group stage this season, with Rovers winning 1-0, meaning Argyle were then away to Leyton Orient in the last round.
The Pilgrims won that game 1-0 to advance, while Rovers were beating Cambridge United on a penalty shoot-out, following a 2-2 scoreline after 90 minutes.
Curiously, the last time Argyle were in the Trophy, and got to the final, in 2022/23, the Greens played Rovers in the group stage, and then beat Rovers in the quarter-finals.
Ties are scheduled to take place in the week commencing 12 January. An exact date and time, as well as ticket information, will be provided when we have them.
