Nuffield Health and Argyle extend agreement

Argyle Extend Nuffield Health Partnership

Following an outstanding opening season in partnership, we are delighted to confirm that Nuffield Health will continue as our Official Health Partner for the 21/22 campaign.

Nuffield Health is one of the leading not-for-profit UK healthcare organisations, with over 60 years’ experience in taking care of communities. Today, they run a network of hospitals, medical clinics, fitness and wellbeing clubs and diagnostic units across the UK.

The extension of the agreement sees the Pilgrims first-team, Academy, and Women’s team supported by Nuffield’s state-of-the-art diagnostic services, including MRI and CT scans, as well as access to some of the region’s leading surgeons for specialist support.

Alongside medical care, the agreement also provides Argyle with access to Nuffield’s two fitness and conditioning sites in the city of Plymouth, based at Derriford and the Barbican Leisure Park.

As members of the Argyle Nexus Business Club, Nuffield Health branding will feature in every edition of our match-day programme, The Pilgrim. Supporters can also expect to see the continued presence of Nuffield branding around Home Park Stadium, online in the form of sponsorship of our ever-popular Matchday Moments series, and on the rear of the shorts of the Argyle Women’s teams.

Argyle’s Head of Commercial Operations, James Greenacre, said: “We are delighted to be extending our partnership with Nuffield Health for another season, and it was an easy decision to continue working together after last season.

“Ensuring that our players are in the best physical shape is a priority as we look to make progress on the pitch this season, and to be working in partnership with a national brand with a great reputation for quality care is a huge boost for us, and we extend our thanks to everyone involved at Nuffield.”

Merika Kindlon, Head of Sales & Services at Nuffield Health Plymouth Hospital, added: “We are delighted to support Argyle for the second year running – our first year of support in 2020 was during the peak of the pandemic when Argyle was promoted to League One, we are excited that this season we shall be able to support Argyle in person at Home Park!

“We see ourselves as an intrinsic part of the local community and this opportunity allows us to not only support the club via sponsorship, but also make our clinical facilities, health & wellbeing centres and clinical expertise available to support the players during a long and physically demanding season.”
