Argyle have been drawn away to Luton Town or Swindon Town in the quarter-finals of the Vertu Trophy.
Having come through their group, then beat Leyton Orient and Bristol Rovers in knockout games, Argyle are into the last eight, but do not yet know exactly who their next opponents will be.
Swindon beat Luton in midweek, but the EFL are looking into two alleged breaches of regulations, relating to the Robins fielding players who were ineligible. Therefore, there is a chance Swindon could be removed from the competition, and Luton reinstated.
The game, whether in Wiltshire or Bedfordshire, is scheduled to take place on the week beginning 9 February.
When the matter is resolved, we will be able to work towards confirming the date of the game, and ticket information.
