Argyle to face Watford in FAWNL Cup first round

FAWNL Cup Draw

Argyle have been drawn away to Watford in the first round of the FA Women's National League Cup.

The first knockout stage of the competition is scheduled to be played on Sunday, 19 October, with Argyle travelling to a fellow FAWNL Southern Premier Division side. Location, kick-off time and ticket information will be announced in due course.

Argyle faced Watford on the way to the semi-finals of this competition last season. The Greens first saw off Bridgwater United and Maidenhead United comfortably in preliminary ties, before a Home Park victory over Billericay Town. Taking on the Hornets in the quarter-finals, Lulu Jarvis' goal secured a memorable 1-0 victory that booked our place in the last four. A 3-0 defeat in PL2 against eventual runners-up Stoke City - led by Argyle's current Head Coach, Marie Hourihan - ended the Pilgrims' magical run.

This season, the Greens have already secured big victories over Marine Academy Plymouth, Bridgwater, and Bristol Rovers to top Group A and advance to the first round.
