Argyle Nominated for Business Award
The club’s efforts to support the region’s community in the past 12 months has been recognised with a nomination at the Western Morning News Business Awards 2021.
The work of both the club and the Argyle Community Trust, particularly in responding to the COVID-19 pandemic, sees the club placed as one of three finalists for the South West’s Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR) award, alongside local businesses Total Energy Solutions and The Road to Mayflower Company.
The Argyle family has been at the forefront of the community fightback after the devastating impact of coronavirus on our daily lives. From offering up the brand-new Mayflower Grandstand to staff holding telephone calls with isolated supporters, the club has placed the community at the heart of its actions in the past 18 months.
In July, the club and Trust produced our COVID impact report, providing a complete and comprehensive report of our efforts to support the community during the crisis – and many of these projects are still ongoing.
Following a rigorous judging process with an independent panel, the winners will be revealed at a regional event on Thursday, 7 October.
