Argyle partner with Chestnut Appeal for Derby fixture

Chestnut Appeal

March is Prostate Cancer Awareness month, and Plymouth Argyle would like to help fans to check their health, once again.

The club has teamed up with The Chestnut Appeal for Men’s Health to host a free PSA testing clinic ahead of the men’s first-team fixture against Derby County on Saturday, 15 March, 2025.

The PSA test is a blood test that measures the amount of prostate specific antigen (PSA) in your blood to help diagnose prostate problems - including prostate cancer.

By offering testing on a matchday, we hope to make this vital test accessible to the Green Army. When the same event was run in 2024, 20 men who may not otherwise have been tested were flagged as potentially having prostate cancer.

The PSA test is currently not routinely offered by GPs.

If you are aged 50 and over, or over 45 with the possibility of higher risk factors, then please book your place today by clicking here.

Those at higher risk of prostate cancer include those with a history of the illness in their families, and men with Afro-Caribbean heritage.

Scroll down to The Chestnut Appeal event on 15th March, click the padlock icon and then input the password in the box that will appear at the top of the screen. This will then lead you into the page to book your space.

The Chestnut Appeal for Men’s Health will be running the clinic at the Life Centre, next to Home Park Stadium.

The PSA testing will take place from 11.00am- 2.00pm at The Life Centre on the 15 March, so that fans can be tested before heading into the stadium.
