Argyle proudly supported the Play Safe campaign over the weekend of 27-28 September.
This season, the campaign focuses on creating a culture where adults actively listen to children, on and off the pitch. The campaign slogan of ‘Small Talk Is Bigger Than You Think’ highlights the importance of small conversations between children and young people, and how impactful they can be.
Katie McManus, Player Care Lead for Plymouth Argyle Women, said: “As a club, we are continuously developing, and through this, we are ensuring an environment where anyone can raise concerns they have, without judgement. The small conversations we have with players have always been vitally important to ensuring a positive culture at the club.
“This season, we have further developed our pathway for girls and young women, and taking part in the Play Safe Campaign furthers our commitment to safeguarding.”
The FA campaign, in partnership with the NSPCC, is supported in various levels across football, including the FA Women’s National League, and ran last weekend (September 27th and 28th).
Argyle remains committed to safeguarding across all parts of the club, in our everyday activities, work, and culture.
