Argyle Team Up With 1 Big Summer Festival

Argyle have teamed up with the 1 Big Summer Festival to bring exclusive offers to the Green Army ahead of the Jubilee Bank Holiday bash on Plymouth Hoe.

The event, rearranged as a result of Covid restrictions, will see a star-studded line-up of stadium-filling artists descend upon Britain’s Ocean City for three jam-packed days of festival music between 2-4 June, 2022.

On the Thursday, dance music lovers can enjoy a set list featuring a full live 30-piece orchestra, and a soundtrack that will transport listeners through three decades of iconic white isle classics. Grammy and Brit award-winning electronic duo Basement Jaxx, famous for tracks like Where’s Your Head At and Good Luck, will round off the opening day with some of the hits that have seen them sell millions of records around the world.

On Friday 3 June, the 1 Big Summer all-day festival promises to be one of the biggest ever events staged on the Hoe, headlined by electropop sensation Years & Years.

This day was sold out, but due to a small number of refunds, there is now limited availability - with tickets available on a first-come, first-served basis.

The final day of the festival, on Saturday, offers something for all the family, with food, family activities, and competitions taking place throughout the day, before two of the UK’s most successful rock bands The Libertines and Supergrass close out the 1 Big Summer festival in style.

Argyle’s Head of Marketing and Communications, Jamie Yabsley, said: “We are delighted to be supporting the 1 Big Summer festival on Plymouth Hoe for a number of reasons.

“Firstly, it is great to see high-profile events continuing to take place in our city. Along with activity at Argyle, huge events like 1 Big Summer help to raise the profile of our city and region, which can only be a good thing for our community.

“In addition, 1 Big Summer gives us a great opportunity to provide extra value to existing supporters in the form of exclusive offers, while also placing Argyle at the centre of an event attended by young people, which is crucial in helping us to build our fanbase for the future. It’s the perfect fit.”

With demand across all three days being very high, tickets have been limited to four per person. Day tickets for 1 Big Summer will start at £35, while weekend tickets will start from £79.

Argyle fans will receive an exclusive email over this weekend with a special discount code, so keep an eye on your inboxes.
