Argyle's second consecutive away match in Wales takes them to Cardiff City on Saturday, 30 August.

Almost 2,000 Argyle fans have bought tickets for the 12.30pm kick-off. If you're travelling, find all the information you need below.

Tickets

Over 2,900 tickets have been sold for Argyle's trip to Cardiff City.

The fixture will be played at Cardiff City Stadium on Saturday, 30 August, with a 12.30pm kick-off.

Tickets will remain on sale until 3pm on Friday, 29 August.

Collections will be available on the day from Cardiff, from the Away Ticket Office at Gate 12, from 11am on match day.

Posted Tickets
If you have paid for postage and your tickets have not arrived, please either call us on 01752 907700 or email tickets@pafc.co.uk, by 3pm on Friday, 29 August, so that the Ticket Office can arrange duplicates for collection.

These can then be collected on the day from the Away Ticket Office at Gate 12, from 11am.

Coach travel is sold out for this fixture. Leaving from outside of the Babcock Devonport End at 6am.

Travel

By Car  

If you are travelling to the stadium by car, access from the motorway is easy.  

  • Leave the M4 at junction 33 and take the A4232 towards Cardiff/Barry.
  • Exit the A4232 on to the B4267 turn-off, sign posted towards Cardiff City Stadium.
  • Follow the slip-road off the B4267, take the second available exit off the roundabout onto Hadfield Road and then take the third left into Bessemer Road.
  • Travel to the end of Bessemer Road and at the traffic lights turn left onto Sloper Road.
  • Continue down Sloper Road and turn left (next to the HSS Hire Shop) to access the away supporter’s carpark.
  • There is Electronic Vehicle Management signage & brown football signage to help guide you to Cardiff City Stadium from the M4 onwards.  

Please be aware that following a sat nav may direct you through the city centre which will add at least 30 minutes to your journey.  

By Train

If you are intending to come via train you will likely need to take a train to Cardiff Central Station and then subsequently walk or take a taxi o the stadium. It’s a 25 minute walk or a 10 minute ride.  

By Taxi

Taxis are readily available across the city. You can book a ‘Private Hire’ or hail a ‘Black & White’.  

A trip from the City Centre to the stadium costs between £7-£10. 

By Bus

If you are planning on using a bus to the stadium, please visit the Cardiff Bus website.

Parking

Parking will be within the away match-day parking area, which is assigned as Car Park Sector V. This is on a first come, first served basis - no pre booking allowed. Each vehicle is charged £10 cash on the gate.

Accessibility parking for Blue Badge holders is also located here, and vehicles are also charged £10.

The entrance to the car park is along and off Sloper Road.

Away coaches and minibuses can park free of charge here.

Please do not park in the retail park adjacent to the stadium.

Parking wardens will be on site and issuing fines to match-day vehicles.

Entering The Stadium

Entry for Away Supporters is via Gate 12.  

When you arrive at your Entry Gate: 

  1. Have your physical ticket or mobile ‘phone and digital’ ticket ready when approaching the turnstile.
  2. Place your ticket or phone into or up against the reader within the turnstile.
  3. Once you hear the tone, and the light turns green*, proceed through the turnstile and into the stadium.

*In the event the light either turns red, or the reader does not react, please exit the turnstile, and see one of the Customer Support Stewards, who wear purple tabards, and they will help resolve the problem. 

Food & Drink

There are several outlets within the stadium serving a wide range of food and drink, suitable for all culinary tastes, and dietary requirements.  

Away fans are advised to drink in the city centre, where pubs are neutral venues.

Match Day Programme

Available in its traditional print edition and priced at £4 - the Cardiff City Superstore, several external programme booths and Cardiff City Supporters' Club shop are the places to pick up a copy of the programme on match days!

Safety & Security

Cardiff request that all supporters arrive with plenty or time before kick-off. You should take into consideration such things as passing through stadium security controls prior to entry.  

Please avoid bringing bulky items or large bags with you. Due to historical worldwide events, any items that a custodian wishes to bring into the stadium will be thoroughly searched, and some items may not be allowed.  

There is typically a visible police presence for events, the presence inside the stadium will continue to be reduced in line with their event risk assessments. 

It is Cardiff’s objective to provide a safe, secure, and welcoming environment and your assistance is really appreciated.  

Musical Instruments/Megaphones

The stadium policy is to not allow such items. 

Banners, Flags & Signs

Cardiff City welcomes fans to demonstrate their support using homemade flags and banners. To ensure these articles do not upset or distract others, Cardiff have asked that supporters adhere to the following guidelines:  

  • Banners should not be more than 8ftx4ft (other banners including crowd surfing banners allowed only with prior consent). 
  • Banners should have an appropriate fire certificate. 
  • Banners should not be placed in the eyeline of other fans.
  • Banners should not obstruct any signage or advertising.
  • Banners should not be of a discriminatory, commercial, political, contentious or obscene nature.

Please note that as an Away Supporter at Cardiff City Stadium, you can legally stand up to watch the game as the area is now a Safe Standing Area.
