Away Fans' Guide | Rotherham United

We wish to remind supporters of the importance of adhering to opposition ground regulations at all away games. These are standard practice across all EFL grounds, specifically in relation to the use of pyrotechnics, missile throwing and pitch incursions. 

Pyrotechnics and objects, or missiles specifically, can cause serious injury or harm. 

Any incidents of this nature will be investigated and could lead to sanctions being applied by Plymouth Argyle, the football authorities, or the Police.

Please also remain courteous when inside the stadium, with regards to foul and abusive language. If you do hear anything offensive while inside the stadium, please report it to your nearest steward. Tragedy chanting and discriminatory abuse of any kind is not tolerated.

If the match officials hear any abusive or discriminatory chanting during the game, they hold the right to suspend the game, taking the players off the field until further notice.

We would like to remind supporters that the strongest condemnation is employed towards discriminatory abuse, tragedy chanting, anti-social behaviour, crowd disorder and misconduct, and illegal activity inside football stadia.

Our stance on the above will ensure the strongest possible action continues to be taken against those found guilty of any offence, including the issuing of Football Banning Orders.

Ticket Sales
Just under 1,100 tickets have been sold for the match.

Tickets are now off sale at Home Park, but will be available from 9am on Friday, 27 February, through Rotherham, via phone on 01709 827768. Rotherham's ticket office will be open between the hours of 9am and 5pm.

Tickets will then be available from Rotherham on the day, for an increased price.

Important Information:

• This is an all-ticket fixture.

• All collections will require Photo ID.

• All under-14s must be accompanied by an over-18, and sat next to them.

Collections
Collections are available from the Home Park Ticket Office until 4pm on Thursday, 26 February.

After this point, any uncollected tickets will be available to pick up on the day at Rotherham, from the away ticket office on the South Stand. Any tickets bought directly from Rotherham will be here as well.

Posted Tickets
If you have paid for postage and your tickets have not arrived, please either call us on 01752 907700 or email tickets@pafc.co.uk, by midday on Friday, 27 February, so that the Ticket Office can arrange duplicates for collection.

These will be available to pick up at Rotherham, from the away ticket office on the South Stand.

Coach travel is sold out for this match. Leaving from outside the Babcock Devonport End at 6am.

By Car – From Plymouth (South)

• Head north up the M5 then join the M42 → M6 towards the M1 northbound.
• Exit at Junction 33 of the M1 and follow signs for A630 Rotherham.
• Stay on A630 through a few roundabouts towards town.
• After the lights, move into the right filter lane and take the first left onto Main Street, then right onto Don Street.
• Follow signs to Town Centre Parking.

By Car – From the North

• From Leeds/Sheffield: take the M1 South to Junction 35, then A629 toward Rotherham.
• At roundabouts follow the A629 into town and then follow signs towards the stadium via Main Street and Don Street.

By Train

• Rotherham Central Station is the nearest station — about 10 minutes’ walk from the ground.
• Once you exit the train station, clear signage leads you into town and towards the stadium.

By Bus

• Rotherham’s bus station is also close (about a 10 to 12 minute walk) and links from Sheffield, Meadowhall, and other nearby towns.
   

Turnstiles open 90 minutes before kick-off for away fans.

Arrive early if you want to soak in pre-match atmosphere or queue at turnstiles.

At The Stadium

• No fan parking on site for away supporters, unless you have a pre-agreed disabled parking space.

Nearby Parking Options

• Forge Island Car Park (recommended) – postcode S60 1EJ, ~7 minutes’ walk.
• Sheffield Road Pay & Display – pay and walk (~10–15 minutes).
• NCP Town Centre Car Parks – around town centre and walking distance.
• JustPark options – various locations near stadium can be pre-booked.

Tip: Traffic management and match-day congestion near Rotherham town centre is common — aim to park early.
 

Rotherham United offers accessible facilities and services:

• Audio descriptive commentary headsets are available; must be booked 24 hours in advance.
• Sensory bags for fans who may benefit from them, also booked in advance.

The AESSEAL New York Stadium has modern facilities and stewards who can assist with directions and accessibility entrances where needed.

Before kick-off, Rotherham town centre has plenty of pubs popular with away supporters:

• The Bluecoat (Wetherspoons) – affordable drinks/food and convenient for groups.
• Bridge Inn – next to Rotherham Central station — ideal before the short walk to the ground.
• Cutlers Arms – classic local pub atmosphere.
