Away Fans' Guide | Stoke City (A)

Argyle travel to Stoke City this weekend, taking on Steven Schumacher's side in another big Sky Bet Championship encounter.

The Pilgrims head into the game high on confidence after a 1-0 win against Leicester City last time out, and will look to get one over on Schumacher, who left for the Potters in December.

2,600 Argyle fans will make the trip to the bet365 Stadium, and you can find all the information you need below.

Tickets sold out

Away tickets for this fixture are completely sold out, with 2600 Argyle fans making the trip to the bet365 Stadium. 

Collections

All tickets set for collection must be picked up from the ticket office at Home Park Stadium.

There are no collections on the day at the bet365 Stadium - except for those who bought one of the limited number of return tickets that went on sale on Friday, 19 April.

If you have paid for postage and they have not arrived, please either call on 01752 907700 or email tickets@pafc.co.uk by NOON on Friday, 19 April, for us to be able to arrange duplicates for collection. These can then be collected on the day at Stoke from turnstile 55 on the away end.

Argyle TV

Supporters unable to attend Saturday’s Sky Bet Championship game at Stoke City can now purchase their audio match pass for the clash at the bet365 Stadium. 

With video streaming for this fixture prohibited in domestic territories, Argyle TV subscriptions and audio match passes are the only way to follow every kick of the action live in the UK and Ireland without being at the game – and the passes cost just £2.50. 

Live video streaming is available for international subscribers to Argyle TV and can be purchased for £10, audio match passes can also be purchased for this fixture by overseas Pilgrims, enabling supporters to follow the action wherever you are in the world, and whatever you are doing. 

Domestic subscribers to Argyle TV have audio match pass access included in their package, alongside numerous other benefits, including box sets from the Argyle archives, exclusive features, full match replays, and extended highlights, all for just £5.50 per month, or £55 for an annual pass. 

The audio stream will become available to connect to from an hour before kick-off, and supporters can simply click the audio button under the media player to get started. 

Argyle TV’s pre-match show will be available to watch on the club’s YouTube channel from 2pm where Alex Wood will be joined by Brian McGlinchey.

Getting to the stadium

Air:

Stoke-on-Trent’s central position in England means several major airports are within easy reach. Manchester International Airport, Birmingham International Airport, Liverpool’s John Lennon Airport and East Midlands Airport are all around an hour away from the City.

Rail:

Stoke-on-Trent Railway Station is situated on the West Coast Main Line and provides direct access from London, Manchester, Birmingham, Derby and Crewe. The station offers a bar owned by Titanic Brewery, a local brewery, Bureau de Change, ATM machine and two coffee shops, along with toilet and Wi-Fi facilities.

Please note: Away supporters are often met by the police at the railway station and taken to Staffordshire University or a pub near to it for refreshments. They are then shuttle bussed up to the bet365 Stadium.

After the game, there are buses that return away fans to the railway station.

A taxi rank is accessible from Platform 1 or by exiting the station at the main entrance and turning left.

Motorway:

The bet365 Stadium is a five-minute drive away from Junction 15 of the M6 for those travelling from the north or south, and is also the last turn off on the A50 when heading from the east. You can also reach it from the west via the A500 at junction 16 of the M6. Once near the ground, simply follow the signs.

Parking

Car parks at the bet365 Stadium open from two hours before kick-off on a match day. The North, West 1 and West 2 car parks are limited to vehicles with seasonal parking permits only.

Pre-Paid Match-by-match passes for the Club’s South Car Park can be brought directly from Ticket Office, either in person or by calling 01782 367 599. At present, these are not available online.

Disabled parking:

Disabled supporters with valid ‘blue badge’ parking permits are recommended to liaise with on-site stewards who will help facilitate the best available spaces.

Pay on arrival parking:

A number of the surrounding businesses also offer officially recognised pay-on-the-day parking. These include the Powerleague 5-a-side football centre, Hem Heath Cricket Club, Longton Rugby Club and BFM Europe.

Turnstiles opening times

Turnstiles are usually open 90 minutes before kick-off. 

Food and Drink

As soon as you arrive outside the away end you will see a van selling burgers, hot dogs and drinks, and the stadium concourse kiosks inside the bet365 Stadium serve a range of hot and cold food and beverages including the mighty oatcakes, the North Staffordshire delicacy which is thoroughly recommended. Other fast food outlets are dotted around the outside of the Stadium.

Contactless Stadium

The nearest available cashpoint is located at The Harvester pub, a short walk away. The bet365 Stadium will offer contactless at all kiosks and bars.

Build up entertainment

Stoke City’s pre-match entertainment show gets underway from an hour before kick-off. News, views and features are played on the bet365 Stadium’s big screen, whilst special guests talk tactics and share their thoughts from pitchside.

Club store

The bet365 Stadium Store is located at the south west corner of the stadium.

On match days, the bet365 Stadium club store is open up until kick-off and also for 60 minutes after the final whistle.

Match day Magazine

The Club’s official match day magazine is available from numerous stands around the bet365 Stadium on a match day. The 52-page publication offers exclusive interviews and insight, and is priced at £3.

Multi-faith Prayer Room

A multi-faith prayer room is situated in the Franklyn Stand at the bet365 Stadium. This room is non-denominational and is accessible to Argyle supporters of all faiths.

To arrange access to the room in advance, supporters can contact the Club’s Supporter Liaison Officer via anthony.emmerson@stokecityfc.com. To arrange access to the room on match day, Argyle supporters should speak to a steward who will arrange a club companion to assist with navigation.
