Argyle are back on the road this weekend with a trip to Wales to face Swansea City.

Ian Foster's side are still looking for a first away win of the season and head to the Swansea.com Stadium in confident mood as the head coach is still unbeaten since taking charge.

Tickets are sold out for Argyle supporters.

Over 2000 of the Green Army will make the trip to Wales this weekend, hoping for a first away win of the season.

By Car

IMPORTANT INFORMATION FOR SUPPORTERS TRAVELLING BY CAR:  

On September 17, 2023 the Welsh Government introduced a default 20mph speed limit on restricted roads across Wales.

"Restricted roads" are defined as follows: usually located in residential and built-up areas where there are lots of people. They often have street lights on them, placed no more than 200 yards apart.

By Bus

The Swansea.com Stadium is located 2.5 miles from Swansea bus station with route 4 and 4A taking you directly to the stadium. The journey takes around 15 minutes and the bus stop is adjacent to the stadium. Between the stop and the stadium, there is a pelican crossing and drop kerbs. You will arrive at the stadium in the north-west corner.

There is also a taxi rank located outside the bus station. A taxi from here will cost approximately £15.

By Train

Swansea Station is located 1.5 miles from the stadium. There is a direct train link to London Paddington and Manchester Piccadilly. It is managed by GWR and you can find out more amenities at the station by clicking here.

Once you arrive in Swansea, you can either walk, take the bus, or use a taxi to get to the stadium.

By bus – There is a bus stop opposite the train station. You will need the 4 or 4A route.

By taxi – There is a taxi rank to the left of the station as you exit. Taxis from here are charged at approximately £7.

On foot – It will take approximately 30 minutes to walk from the train station to the stadium. The postcode for the stadium is SA1 2FA.

Parking

Parking

There is no street parking available near the stadium. For supporters wishing to drive to the stadium, Swansea recommend the club's park and walk facility. This is less than a five minute walk to the stadium.

Limited onsite parking is available for disabled supporters who meet the club’s criteria of eligibility.

Stadium drop off point

As well as onsite parking, there is a designated drop off point at the stadium which is located next to the Ivor Allchurch Statue (close to the ticket office).

Swansea ask supporters who are visiting SA1 to be mindful of where they park on a matchday and respect residential parking near the stadium and avoid blocking driveways and garages. 

Ground Entry

Turnstiles open 90 minutes before kick-off. When you’re ready to enter the stadium, please have your ticket ready to be scanned.

You should enter the stadium via the turnstile shown on your ticket.

Please arrive early so you don’t miss a minute of the action. Each set of turnstiles has an accessible entrance. If you require the use of this entrance, please speak to a steward.

Club shop

Swansea’s club shop is located in the West Stand. 

Cashless Stadium

The Swansea.com Stadium is a cashless venue with card accepted throughout the ground. This leads to shorter queuing times with a fast, friendly service at all kiosks.

However, if you need a cash point, the nearest one is located at the Morfa Retail Park which is a five minute walk from the stadium. Cash points are located in front of Argos, and inside Morrisons.

Food and Drink

Supporters are able to purchase food and refreshments in the concourses with a range of drinks, snacks, and meal options to enjoy.

Self-order units (SOUs) will be stationed in the South and West Stands of the Swansea.com Stadium, with supporters now able to place their order ready for half-time.

Accessibility

The Swansea.com Stadium and the wider footprint are fully accessible.

The flooring is flat outside the stadium and inside the concourse areas and there are dropped counters in the ticket office, club shop and food kiosks. Our food kiosks also come with printed food menus to aid communication for Deaf and non-verbal supporters.

Accessible lifts are located in each stand while accessible toilets (operated by a radar key) are also available throughout the concourse and mezzanine levels.

There are accessible entrances located in every stand. If you need to use an accessible entrance, please inform a steward or member of Swansea City staff.

We also have provisions for bringing medication into the stadium, storing wheelchairs, and Disability Liaison Officers on site.

Disability Liaison Officer

The clubs employs specific disability liaison officer stewards (DLOs) for event days. They are employed purely to look after the requirements of supporters with disabilities or access needs and are identifiable by their green jackets or bibs.

Audio commentary headsets

For blind or partially sighted supporters, Swansea offer a complimentary headset for matchday commentary, which uses the local hospital radio commentary feed.

These headsets can be requested via stewards on the day or booked in advance in one of the following ways:

  • Visiting the ticket office in person
  • Calling the ticket office on 01792 616 629 and selecting option one. Normal ticket office opening hours are as follows: Monday-Friday: 9am-5pm

Sensory Room

The sensory room allows supporters who may find the environment challenging to come and enjoy the match at their own pace. Supporters view the match from inside the sensory room while also being able to sit in the stand, safe in the knowledge that they are able to return to the sensory room, should they become overwhelmed.

The sensory room is available to anyone who feels they might need it but places will be subject to availability and supporting documentation may be requested.

Parents/ guardians/ carers will also have the option to visit the room before matchday, if they wish to check the suitability of the room.

Premier Inn - There are three Premier Inn hotels in Swansea. There is one located in the city centre and another in the waterfront development, while the third (Swansea North) is a little further out.

Grand Central Hotel - Located opposite Swansea Railway Station, which is useful for anyone making the journey by train. It does not have a car park, but hotel goers can use the railway car park, which is priced at £6 for 24 hours.
