Big Green Lottery Big Winner
We are delighted to announce that Matthew Gillmore from Plymouth is the winner of the Grand Annual Draw for £10,000 in the Big Green Lottery.
The draw was conducted by Argyle manager Steven Schumacher and he phoned Matthew to give him the good news.
As you can see from the video, it was a lovely phone call for the gaffer to make and massive congratulations to Matthew from all of us at Home Park.
“Thank you very much,” was the first response from Matthew. “This is very exciting news. I obviously wasn’t expecting to win, so I’m not sure what we’ll do with the money.
“I’ve got two children, my daughter comes to every home game with me and also a newborn son. I will probably give some money to the children’s unit at Derriford Hospital because my son was in there for 84 days.
Steven added: “We’re really pleased that some of the money is going to a good cause and we hope you and your family enjoy it. Congratulations, we’re made up for you.”
A final word of thanks to all ten BGL Finalists. Our nine runners-up will receive a small consolation prize as a token of our immense gratitude for supporting the Argyle Academy through membership of the Big Green Lottery.
The BGL exists to raise funds for the next generation of Pilgrim talent. Membership is just £2.25 per week, and BGL members also benefit from weekly cash prizes, a grand annual prize of £10,000, big match ticket priority and discounts in the Home Park Superstore.
