Darren Way’s side made it through to the third round thanks to a 3-1 win over Milton Keynes Dons.

A Will Jenkins-Davies strike and a brace from Jamal Salawu saw the young Greens safely through to the third round for the first time in four seasons.

It will be a tough test for the young Greens, who currently sit sixth in the EFL Youth Alliance league, as Brighton’s Academy is one of the best in the country.

They are Category One, which puts them up there with the likes of Arsenal, Chelsea and Manchester City.

So far this season the Seagulls sit fifth in the Premier League Two table, with five wins from their 12 games.

They are just seven points behind leaders Arsenal and two off Manchester City.
