Argyle will travel to Bristol Rovers in the Vertu Trophy Round of 16 on Tuesday, 13 January.
The match will take place at the Memorial Stadium. Kick-off is at 7pm.
The two sides met in the group stage this season, with Rovers winning 1-0, meaning Argyle finished second in Southern Group B.
Moving on to the Round of 32, the Pilgrims beat Leyton Orient 1-0 in East London, while Rovers overcame Cambridge United in a penalty shoot-out, following a 2-2 scoreline after 90 minutes.
Curiously, the last time Argyle were in the Trophy, and got to the final, in 2022/23, the Greens played Rovers in the group stage, and then beat them in the quarter-finals.
