Coaching Conference Postponed
We have taken the difficult decision to postpone our first-ever Argyle Coaching Conference, scheduled to take place on Monday, 2 May, with a new date to be arranged in due course.
With many of our expert speakers – including Manager Steven Schumacher, First-Team Coach Kevin Nancekivell, and Director of Football Neil Dewsnip – fully focused on the prospect of achieving a Sky Bet League One play-off place, they have not had the opportunity to prepare high-quality CPD sessions for grass roots coaches, and their desire is to ensure that the experience is as beneficial as possible for coaches attending Home Park.
Argyle currently occupy a play-off place in Sky Bet League One with one fixture remaining – at home to Milton Keynes Dons on Saturday. Should the Greens achieve a play-off place, then the conference would not have been able to take place anyway due to post-season commitments.
The club will confirm a new date shortly, with the intention to reschedule our inaugural Coaching Conference in the next few months. All coaches booked onto the conference will be offered the opportunity to book first for the new date.
Argyle Director of Football, Neil Dewsnip, said: “We are disappointed to be postponing our first ever coaching conference at Home Park, but I am sure that everyone understands the logic behind the decision.
“Developing grass roots football in Devon and Cornwall is a huge part of our mission at Argyle, and we are committed to delivering the conference as soon as possible. We thank everyone for their understanding.”
