An Evening with Peter Reid

An Evening with Peter Reid

23/24 Fixture Sync

Club Argyle will host an evening with former Argyle boss Peter Reid on Friday, 19 January.

Guests will enjoy a one-course hot-fork buffet and a complimentary glass of house lager/cider/soft-drink before Peter Reid takes to the Club Argyle stage for an in-depth interview about his long and distinguished career in football, as a player and a manager.

One of the finest English midfielders of his generation, Reid won two league titles, an FA Cup and the European Cup-Winners’ Cup with Everton, and was named the 1985 PFA Players’ Player of the Year by his peers. He also played for Bolton, Queens Park Rangers and Manchester City, among others, and was capped 13 times for England.

As manager, Reid took the helm at Man City, finishing fifth in the top flight on two consecutive occasions, before a memorable eight-year stint at Sunderland, where he transformed the Black Cats’ fortunes.

Peter managed Leeds United, Coventry City and the Thailand national team prior to taking the job as Argyle boss in 2010.

Arriving in one of the most turbulent periods in Argyle’s history, Reid conducted himself with class and dignity during his tenure, notably auctioning off an FA Cup runners-up medal to assist with the club’s running costs.

Known as a superb storyteller, Peter will be speaking about his career and answering your questions in what promises to be a memorable night.

Tickets for our evening with Peter Reid are on sale now, priced at £40 per person (inc. VAT), with a £5 discount available for season ticket holders and Evergreen members.
