Evergreen wins Sports Business Award

Argyle are delighted to announce our Evergreen scheme has won the top prize in the Best Fan Engagement category at the Sports Business Awards 2023. 

Evergreen won the gold award ahead of Lewes Community Football Club in silver and The FA Matchday Programmes – The FA & Wonderly in bronze. Also nominated in the category were the Gallagher Premiership Rugby Highlights, NHL Big City Greens Classic, the Aston Martin Formula 1 Team and VRTL. 

The Sports Business Awards are recognised as an industry leader in celebrating the achievements of the teams behind the scenes, and we are incredibly proud of all our Evergreen members for making this possible.  

The Evergreen Fans Fund is a subscription donation model developed in partnership with Stadimax, which provides Argyle supporters with a full range of fantastic club benefits, while directly supporting Football Operations at Home Park. 

The Evergreen Story began with a desire to offer our amazing fanbase a new way to support the club, as we take the next steps in the Argyle ambition to become a sustainable Championship football club, and to one day be challenging for the Premier League. 

The club wanted to create a unique membership scheme that will give supporters the flexibility to pledge their monthly subscription to a chosen football department at Home Park. 

Evergreen members can choose from three options to direct their funds: First-Team Operations, Academy and Sports Science. The scheme allows members to direct all of their funds to one department or to split their investment. 

Evergreen launched in December 2022 and the initial target was to reach 1,000 members by March. This target was exceeded within five weeks and, as a consequence, Evergreen success has now risen to achieve over 5,700 members as we approach our first anniversary.
