The Game
Argyle Under-18s v Milton Keynes Dons. Home Park. Tuesday, 18 November. 7pm.
Last Season
Argyle Under-18s had an unforgettable run in the FA Youth Cup in 2024/25. Victories over Carlisle United, Lincoln City and Everton set up a quarter-final tie against giants Aston Villa at Villa Park.
Argyle are hoping to have a similar journey this year, now hosting MK Dons in the second round of the prestigious competition at Home Park on Tuesday night.
This Season
Jamie Lowry’s side had a slow start to the season, but they come into this fixture in fine form.
It all started with a first-round win in the FA Youth Cup against Mangotsfield United. Argyle came away as 3-0 victors, thanks to goals from Tashall Sandhu, Kian Burch and James Sharpe, setting up the tie against the Dons on Tuesday evening.
The next team to visit, in the EFL Youth Alliance South, were an unbeaten AFC Wimbledon, but Argyle came away with three points. Frankie Maund’s last-minute header earned a big victory for the young Pilgrims, and this turned into three wins in a row the following weekend.
On Saturday afternoon, Argyle beat Newport County 3-1 at Millennium Fields, after a dominant first-half showing. Fletcher Poole bagged himself a six-minute brace, with Sandhu adding a third in the second half, just minutes before the Welsh side pulled one goal back.
