Darren Way’s side secured passage to the second round of the competition with a 2-1 victory over Mangotsfield United, with Angel Waruih and Jamal Salawu on target for the Greens. Milton Keynes Dons defeated London Lions 5-0 to reach the same stage.
After a Devon Derby victory away at Exeter City last time out, the Greens currently occupy fifth place in the EFL Youth Alliance South West Division, but points from games in hand could take them just one point behind the league leaders.
Meanwhile, Milton Keynes Dons currently lie bottom of the South East Division, with two wins and two draws from their nine league matches.
