Fixtures

Southampton are the visitors to Home Park this weekend, with Argyle looking to continue their excellent start to the season against former Premier League opposition.

Russel Martin's side head into the match with the same points tally as the Greens following a win against Sheffield Wednesday on the opening day and 4-4 draw against Norwich last time out.

Tomorrow's match is set to be another fiercely competitive encounter with Home Park packed to the rafters once again.

Supporters attending the match can read our Fans' Guide below.

Tickets sold out

Tickets for this match are completely sold out. Steven Schumacher's men will once again be backed by a packed Home Park Stadium with the Green Army looking to back their team to a second home league victory, and third of the season.

The former Premier League side will also be backed by vociferous away support, with the visitors selling out all their tickets for the lunchtime clash.

Turnstiles will open two hours before kick-off, from 10:30am. Supporters are advised to enter through the turnstile identified on their match ticket. However, if neighbouring turnstiles have shorter queues, supporters are permitted to enter these to speed up access to the stadium.

If you can no longer make the game, please aim to utilise our Ticket Exchange which gives season-ticket holders the ability to sell their designated seat at face value to other supporters. Season-ticket holders will have until three hours prior to kick-off to repost their tickets. If they sell, then their ticket account will be credited with the respective value, as per the the table below.

Beacon Electrical Mayflower Grandstand Fan Zone

The Beacon Electrical Mayflower Grandstand Fan Zone will once again be in operation for Saturday's fixture against Southampton.

This has been introduced to continue to improve the matchday experience for the loyal Green Army and provide further services for those fans who like to get into Home Park early.

The Fan Zone will serve further food and drink options, provide seating and undercover areas as well as live entertainment. Kallie Morgan will be taking to the stage to provide an array of covers ahead of kick-off and there will also be a selection of children's entertainment for the younger members of our loyal fan base.

Matchday bus services

Our five new dedicated football special bus services will run again this Saturday, from various areas of the city directly to Home Park, returning again after the game.

The services will initially be run on a trial basis to assess their viability, and are subject to change, but beginning this service again aligns with our ambitions to provide an outstanding fan experience for the Green Army. We have worked with key stakeholders in the city to provide as many transport options as we can, to make supporters’ journeys as straightforward as possible.

In line with the club’s environmental ambitions and efforts to reduce the collective carbon footprint of supporters travelling to Home Park on match days, we endeavour to make travel as sustainable as we can.

We have received many requests from supporters to launch dedicated football services, and recently ran a supporter survey to consult fans and assess potential viability of such services. The results showed clear supporter interest, and highlighted key areas in the city with high levels of demand. In line with this, five routes were devised to provide as much coverage across the city and surrounding areas as possible.

The five services will be: Coypool Park and Ride, The George Park and Ride, Plympton, Plymstock and Saltash.

The Coypool and George services will run two trips to Home Park pre-match, while the Plympton, Plymstock and Saltash services will run once.

Timetables are available here.

Please note times are different for this weekend's game due to the early kick off.

These matchday specials are sponsored by our good friends PASOTI.

St Luke's Sparksy Legacy Scheme

PLG Consultants will sponsor the newly introduced St Luke's Sparksy Legacy Scheme at Home Park for the 2023/24 Sky Bet Championship season.

The St Luke's Sparksy Legacy Scheme will see a patient of St Luke's Hospice gifted an experience at an Argyle home game.

The guests will receive food and drink and be able to watch Steven Schumacher's men in action from the new PLG Consultants branded viewing platform in the Beacon Electrical Lower Mayflower.

Coronation Avenue temporary closure

Sorry for the inconvenience but Coronation Avenue is temporarily closed while work is completed on the Central Park Ponds Project.

There will be diversions available around Jubilee Row or Pounds Park while the work is ongoing. Please plan ahead of time for the diversions to ensure you reach Home Park in suitable time.

Tribute Festival

Please be aware a Tribute Festival will take place in Central Park which may cause some disruption to parking and footfall around Home Park Stadium.

Fans are encouraged to plan accordingly and leave time to make sure they reach the stadium in good time ahead of kick-off.

2023/24 Half-time challenge

A new half-time challenge was introduced for the opening 2023/24 Sky Bet Championship fixture of the season against Huddersfield Town. This will continue for Saturday's match against Southampton.

Each league game the club will pick two fans to play, who will get one attempt each to try and pass the ball as close to the centre spot as possible from the halfway line touchline. The distance away from the centre circle will then be measured, and we will keep a running leaderboard over the course of the season.

At the final league game, the top three overall on the leaderboard will return to participate in the grand final, where each participant will take part again. Whoever is closest to the centre spot in the grand final will take home a cash prize of £1,000.

We are committed to providing sustainable transport options and making supporters’ match-day travel arrangements as simple and straightforward as possible. This service supports both of these ambitions by providing a bespoke and convenient service for those with access requirements, while also serving to reduce traffic congestion and alleviate the need for parking at Home Park.

5-8 Miles - £12
Over 8 Miles - £15

Disabled supporters

For any accessibility or match-day support queries, our dedicated Disability Liaison Officer can be contacted on disability@pafc.co.uk.

Security

Supporters should be prepared to be searched by our security team as they enter the stadium.

Wherever possible, we will ensure that 'wand' searches are also undertaken by members of the same gender. If that is not the case upon entry, and you feel at all uncomfortable, please raise this with a member of the security team - who will make the necessary arrangements.

As with all major sporting events, bringing bags to the stadium is actively discouraged. However, fans arriving at Home Park with a small personal bag (for example, medical bags or handbags) capable of being stowed under seats is permitted. Please note, supporters should expect this to be searched before entry.

We ask that supporters arrive in plenty of time to avoid queues forming as kick-off approaches.

Parking

Outland Road Car Park, adjacent to Home Park is a very large – and free! – car park. It is council-run, and is typically a park-and-ride car park into the city. It is free to use on match-days, but will obviously begin to fill up very early for many fixtures, especially local derbies, Bank Holiday fixtures, etc. A Tribute Event is also taking place this weekend so we are expecting the Car Park to be even busier.

Additional street parking is available surrounding Home Park, but please be mindful of local residents, park sensibly, and be aware of any parking restrictions and permit areas. Considerations should include:

  • Don’t park on double yellow lines
  • Please avoid dropped kerbs in front of people’s houses
  • Please avoid parking on junctions
  • Please display a blue badge if you have one

There are also several large pay and display car parks in the city centre, which is within walking distance of Home Park, but not advised for those who struggle to walk beyond short distances.

Argyle merchandise

The Argyle Superstore, located next to the Home Park Ticket Office by the main entrance to the Mayflower Grandstand, is open until 30 minutes after full-time.

In addition to the Superstore, there is a large pop-up retail outlet located on the corner of the Babcock Devonport End, stocking all supporter favourites - this is open until kick-off.

An additional retail kiosk is available inside the stadium, in the concourse of the Portcullis Legals Lyndhurst Road Stand.

The Evergreen Suite, adjacent to the Home Park Ticket Office, is open from 9am until kick-off ahead of the game.

Match officials to adopt new approach

Match officials in the EFL will adopt a new approach to timekeeping in the 2023/24 campaign.

In line with the most recent IFAB guidance, the EFL and PGMOL are committed to ensuring a more accurate calculation of additional time alongside an improvement in the amount of time the ball is in play from the start of the new season.

The changes include enhancing the length of time the ball is in play, the treatment of players for injury, denial of an obvious goal-scoring opportunity, the offside rule, the high threshold and participant behaviour.

For further information on the rule changes please click here.
