Today (20 January) marks two years since the launch of Forever Green.
The scheme celebrates every player that has pulled on the Argyle shirt throughout our storied history, honouring each name with their own legacy number.
Forever Green also maintains a fund, which is available to assist with the pastoral care of all members.
In its first two years, Forever Green has given 81 presentation packs to former players, and presented special plaques to the first-team squads of the 2024/25 and 2025/26 seasons, which are inscribed with their legacy numbers.
16 Argyle legends have been awarded 'Icon' status, with some being inducted into this class at Hall of Fame nights at the stadium, which have raised further money for the fund. Two more icons will be added, at the conclusion of this year's vote.
As well as the Hall of Fame events, Forever Green has also hosted golf days at St Mellion and China Fleet, and reunion events with the iconic squads of 1974/75, 1983/84, and 2003/04. There have also been quiz nights, Christmas lunches, and Q&As with former players, which hundreds of Argyle fans have been able to enjoy.
There are plenty more memorable moments to come in 2026, too.
A team of ex-Greens will face former Premier League and Championship stars on Sunday, 24 May, at Home Park. Tickets are on sale for this match, with proceeds going to support Forever Green and St George's Hospital. Click here to find out more.
As well, Forever Green's next golf day will take place at Staddon Heights, and the promotion-winning squad of 1995/96 is set to reunite in a special event, with details of both events to be confirmed soon.
Thank you for the incredible support you have shown to Forever Green in its first two years.
