The Argyle Archive are looking for supporters with web management experience to help us keep Greens On Screen running into the future.
The Greens On Screen team at the Argyle Archive, and Steve Dean in particular, have been working hard for several months to convert and modernise the code that makes Greens on Screen work. Thanks to the hard work of Steve, GoS has now been updated to use PHP, which is the language used by many websites worldwide. The conversion was required as GoS had a very short future using the previous language, classic ASP.
Steve will very soon be taking a very well-deserved retirement from Greens on Screen. We have a great set of volunteers who keep Greens on Screen updated on a day-to-day basis, but we are looking for technical support. This means we are looking for volunteers who have a good working knowledge and practical experience of PHP, HTML, CSS and SQL who could help us with technical support.
Finding technical support will be critical to keep GoS running into the future. If you can help us, or know an Argyle fan who might be able to help support us, please let us know at greensonscreen@argylearchive.org.uk.
