Argyle Academy in the FA Youth Cup

Host Families Wanted

Sync Argyle fixtures to your phone

We are on the lookout for local residents and families who have a desire to play their part in the development of the club's Academy talent.

The club is keen to hear from people who can provide a 'home from home' for our young players, with an environment which is high quality, safe and comfortable to live, train and study in for our scholars as they undertake their weekly schedule and fixture programme.

You will be required to provide residential accommodation each week during the football season, alongside a nutritious evening meal, occasional lunches, and laundry facilities.

We are particularly keen to hear from those who live in areas near to the club's Home Park base, including households in the Stoke, Peverell and Mutley areas of Plymouth. We would also consider some shorter-term accommodation arrangements for players on trial, as well as to cover arranged holidays of host families.

The club is committed to safeguarding and the welfare of young people and adults at risk and expects all staff, volunteers, and visitors to share this commitment.

Applicants will be required to undergo a full assessment with our club staff, including a home inspection and satisfactory and enhanced Criminal Record Check before a decision can be made of suitability.

A fee is payable to the host family for the duration of the placement.

If you think that you can work with the club to provide the best environment for our young footballers to thrive both on and off the pitch, then we would love to hear from you.

If you would like further information about this opportunity, then please email Head of Academy Player Care Emma Potter on emma.potter@pafc.co.uk, giving brief details of your circumstances and the area in which you live.
