Argyle Women vice-captain Imy Crawford has penned a new deal at the club ahead of the 2025/26 FAWNL Southern Premier Division campaign.

A mainstay in the Greens’ starting XI for many years, the midfielder returns to Home Park once again to be a key leader in an exciting squad under new Head Coach Marie Hourihan.

Since making her debut in the 2020/21 season, Imy has gone on to make 128 appearances for Argyle and scored eight goals.

Returning to the Theatre of Greens was never a doubt to the midfielder, after admitting she’s extremely excited to get the season underway and have a strong season, on a personal level and as a team.

“I’m really excited,” Crawford told Argyle TV. “This will be my sixth season now, at this club, and I can't wait to get going again. I think this season, probably the most excited I've been to get going and come back off pre-season. It’s a privilege to be here and have my family and friends in the stands every week. It’s like home to me.

“I think this season is a good opportunity as a squad to develop, but even personally, I'm looking forward to learning some new stuff from Marie. She's had a lot of experience playing herself and success coaching, so I'm looking forward to developing as a player. Hopefully, I can push on even more this season.

“We want to finish higher up in the league. That's always been our goal, and I think the last few seasons we haven't quite got there and we've ended up in that relegation battle, so hopefully we'll be more secure this season and work our way up this league.”
