On Saturday, 13 December, we held our ninth dedicated fixture at Home Park for Project 35, in partnership with Ginsters, as Plymouth Argyle took on Rotherham United.
We put out a call to our supporters to bring in items of in-date, non-perishable food to the Project 35 gazebo outside the Babcock Devonport End, and the support was incredible.
It was a hugely successful day as Argyle secured three points, and the Green Army answered our call for action, donating huge amounts to the cause.
We are delighted to announce that we received 1.2 tonnes of food donations, with £1,945 also donated, as well as an additional £537.50 kindly donated from Practice Plus Group from their Christmas Fair. Overall, an impressive total of £2,482.50 was raised for Project 35, in partnership with Ginsters.
Not only was the support from the community massive, but the Rotherham United Away Travel Supporters Club made an incredibly generous donation to the project, a greatly appreciated gesture.
In partnership with Ginsters, Project 35 is our award-winning social action initiative, aimed at reducing food poverty in the South West, through a campaign of fundraising, awareness raising, social outreach, food donations, education, and charity support.
Your continued support towards Project 35 has been amazing. We appreciate all the donations made towards the cause and we hope you will continue to support us in our battle against food insecurity.
