Three Argyle players were involved with their nations during the October international window.
Brendan Galloway's Zimbabwe went into their last two FIFA World Cup qualifiers knowing that they couldn't make it to the Finals, but their matches served as important preparation for the Africa Cup of Nations in the winter.
Galloway didn't play in the first fixture, a 0-0 draw with South Africa, but banked a full 90 in the 1-0 defeat to Lesotho that followed, a game in which the defender performed well, and the Warriors were unlucky to lose.
Law McCabe also played 90 minutes, for England Under-20s against Switzerland Under-20s, in a behind-closed-doors game at St George's Park.
The midfielder was denied by an excellent save in the first half, with his effort destined for the top corner, before the Young Lions went on to lose 1-0.
Conor Hazard was back in the Northern Ireland squad for two home World Cup qualifiers, against Slovakia and Germany, but didn't feature in either.
Michael O'Neill's side beat Slovakia, before narrowly losing to Germany. They now sit third in their qualifying group, with a fighting chance of securing a play-off berth.
