Jack Leslie Statue Unveiling to be Streamed Live
It's been a big week on and off the pitch at Home Park.
Alongside Tuesday night's stunning win over Sheffield Wednesday to keep Argyle at the top of Sky Bet League One, the installation of a statue for pioneering footballer Jack Leslie is now underway.
The statue for Leslie, who scored 137 goals in 400 appearances for Argyle between 1921-1934 and was called up for England before later being denied his cap due to the colour of his skin, will be formally unveiled on Friday at 12pm.
The story has generated significant interest, and several national media outlets will attend the official unveiling, alongside the Argyle squad, staff, legends, VIPs and contributors to the fan-led Crowdfunding campaign, which raised over £100,000 to ensure that the statue could be built.
We are delighted to confirm that the unveiling will be live streamed on the club's official YouTube channel from 11.55am on Friday, with thanks to PL1 Events for their support.
