Kit colour for Sunday
On Sunday, Argyle and Rochdale will wear kit combinations selected to ensure that those with colour blindness are able to enjoy Emirates FA Cup action with no issues.
The second round tie between the Pilgrims and Rochdale at the Crown Oil Arena will be shown live on ITV with a 12.15pm kick-off, and will attract viewers from around the world.
Argyle’s regular home kit of green shirts and socks with black shorts would clash with Dale’s first choice strip of blue shirts with white shorts and socks, making it difficult for viewers who experience colour blindness.
After discussions between the two clubs, ITV and the FA, a decision has been taken for Rochdale to wear their regular blue home shirts with black shorts and socks, with Argyle in our all white change strip.
Although not a traditional kit clash, this combination will allow colour-blind viewers to better distinguish between the two teams, making for a more inclusive viewing experience.
