Kyle Bennett and Chris Hussey have become the latest former pros to commit to Argyle’s TST (The Soccer Tournament) squad in Cary, North Carolina this June.
Bennett previously played for Doncaster Rovers, Portsmouth and Bristol Rovers, among others, while Hussey was a stalwart for Cheltenham Town and played for other notable clubs such as AFC Wimbledon and Coventry City.
Bennett, a midfielder by trade, and Hussey, a defender, will strengthen David Norris and Jamie Lowry’s squad following the previous signings of the likes of Graham Carey, Jake Jervis and Oscar Halls.
Head Player-Coach Norris is delighted to bring both into his squad and commented: “Kyle and Chris are two Football League experienced professionals who will add quality and depth to our squad.
“They know Jake Jervis well and he speaks highly of them both on and off the pitch, so we are really pleased to have them both.
“We are building a really competitive squad, and I can’t wait to get out to America now and do our best at winning that $1million prize.”
The likes of Borussia Dortmund, AFC Bournemouth and Atletico Madrid will all take part in TST which takes place at WakeMed Soccer Park from 4-9 June.
