Law Joins Gillingham on Loan
Ryan Law has signed on loan for Gillingham.
The 22-year-old left-back has joined the Kent side for the rest of the 2022/23 season.
Gillingham, managed by Neil Harris, are in Sky Bet League Two, having been relegated from League One last season. The Gills squad includes former Pilgrims Ben Reeves, Stuart O’Keefe and Olly Lee.
Ryan has played 31 times for Argyle’s first team, including 16 starts, having risen through the ranks of the club after joining The Pilgrims at the age of eight.
Law has previous loan experience with Gloucester City, Truro City and Torquay United. Last season, he was involved in 22 fixtures, most notably scoring an extra-time winner in the Emirates FA Cup third round win at Birmingham. He also notched his first league goal, a late coup de grace in Argyle’s 3-0 win over Sheffield Wednesday at Home Park.
Argyle boss Steven Schumacher said of the move: “This is a really good opportunity for Ryan to go away and play some regular first-team football.
“Gillingham will be a very competitive team in League Two next season, and under the guidance of Neil Harris and Dave Livermore, Ryan will hopefully gain some valuable experience that will help him progress to the next stage of his career.”
Good luck, Ryan!
