March 2024 Sparksy Ball to raise money for Project 35

Fixtures

Following the inaugural Gordon Sparks Ball at Home Park in March, which raised over £3200 for two charities close to Gordon’s heart, it has been announced that the event will return in March 2024.

Next year's event will team up with innovative Argyle community project, Project 35, with a brand new legacy project launched in Gordon's name as part of the partnership.

The project name will be 'Cooking Sparks' which will be a weekly cookery and food-themed support café for people experiencing bereavement and food insecurity.

Cooking Sparks will create an opportunity for local people experiencing isolation and loneliness, because of bereavement, to interact in positive activities.

Each café session will create opportunities for people to make new friends through food. The weekly events will ensure people struggling with household bills get the opportunity to access a warm space, free healthy nutritious food, and a chance to learn cookery skills.

Each session will also provide local people with a hot meal, as well as allow them to access Project 35's community food larder.

This year's Sparksy Ball will take place on Friday, 22 March from 6pm until midnight, and tickets are on sale now with priority booking discounts available until Thursday, 30 November.

Tickets are available to purchase here.
