Argyle are delighted to announce lifelong fan Megan Stone as the club’s new Her Game Too ambassador.

Megan is a former Argyle media and ticket office employee and now works at the Theatre Royal Plymouth as Media and Communications Officer. Megan replaces Emma Potter in the role.

Her Game Too is a group of female supporters who are passionate about football and working to eradicate sexism in the football industry. The group aims to allow women and girls of all ages to feel confident and safe sharing their opinion about football both online and in real life without fear of sexist abuse.

Siobhan Robbie-James, Argyle Diversity, Equity and Inclusion Manager, commented: “I am thrilled that Megan has become our next Her Game Too ambassador.

“As a lifelong and passionate Argyle fan she was the perfect person to take on this role. Her Game Too has already done some outstanding work in raising awareness of issues that women should not face today.

“Here at Argyle, we are committed to providing and open and inclusive environment for all football fans at Home Park and the work we have done so far in partnership with Her Game Too has made inroads into making that a reality. It is important we don’t rest on our laurels and continue to eradicate sexism from the game.”

Stone added: "I am absolutely thrilled to be stepping into the role of Argyle's Her Game Too Ambassador. I'm looking forward to playing a pivotal part in ensuring all girls and women feel welcomed, safe and accepted when they enter Home Park or any other football ground, as well as educating people on the importance of the campaign.

“Being given this role at my football club brings me a huge amount of pride and I can't wait to get started."

Lucy Ford, Co-Founder of #HerGameToo concluded: “We are absolutely delighted that Megan has come on board as the #HerGameToo Ambassador for Plymouth Argyle.

“Megan has stepped up from advocate to Ambassador and as someone who is already championing the work we do, we know that she will carry on the great work Emma has already done with Plymouth Argyle."
