New date for Premier League Cup
Argyle’s youngsters rearranged Premier League Cup tie with Exeter City will now take place on Friday, 3 September for a 2pm kick-off at Home Park.
The game was due to be played last week but was postponed at the request of Exeter City.
The prize for the winners is a place in the group stages of the competition where they will play home and away games against category one sides, Swansea City, West Ham United and Wolverhampton Wanderers.
The competition is predominantly for players aged 23 and under, with clubs able to play three ‘older’ outfield players and one goalkeeper, in each match.
A winner must be decided on the night, so if the match ends in a draw then extra-time and penalties will be played.
Tickets are available for the game with the central block of the Lyndhurst Stand open for supporters.
