Steven Sessegnon makes his debut

Player Sponsorships Proving Popular

There may be only seven games of the regular Sky Bet League One season remaining, but the Pilgrim class of 21/22 are so popular that shirt sponsorships continue to be snapped up by local businesses.

Flying wing-back Steven Sessegnon’s home shirt has been sponsored by Platinum Car Centre since his deadline day loan move from Fulham, and his away shirt has also now been snapped up by MAJik Fitness.

Meanwhile, the home shirt of Alfie Lewis, the former West Ham United midfielder who also joined the club in January, is now sponsored by Brian Haydon for the remainder of the season.

Player and coach sponsorships are an excellent entry-level way for small local businesses and dedicated fans to lend their support to the club, and in return they receive a host of benefits.

Alongside sponsors seeing their name in the official match day programme, Argyle’s new for 21/22 digital platforms – including the official Argyle App, Argyle TV pre-match shows, podcasts, and enhanced social media offering – offers greater than ever brand exposure for player sponsors – including brand appearances on goals, substitutions, and more.

In addition, 21/22 saw the return of our exclusive Player Sponsors’ Dinner, providing valued sponsors the opportunity to spend an evening dining with their associated player in the Club Argyle lounge.

Argyle’s Head of Commercial Operations, James Greenacre, said: “The fact that we are still receiving enquiries on player sponsorships so close to the end of the season is incredible.

“For me, it tells me two things. Firstly, this group of players is among the most popular ever assembled at Argyle, and, secondly, that our enhanced offering means that local businesses and dedicated individuals see our player sponsorship packages as a great investment.”

Player and coach sponsorships for the 21/22 season are now extremely limited, although our commercial team will continue to try and accommodate requests where there is availability. We are also taking expressions of interest for the 22/23 season, and individuals or brands interested in securing a player sponsorship for next season are invited to email commercial@pafc.co.uk to kick off a conversation.
