Poole wins back-to-back Women's Player of the Month awards

Phoebie Poole wins February Player of the Month award.

Argyle Women forward Phoebie Poole has won back-to-back Player of the Month awards, after picking up the accolade for February.

The Welsh fan favourite was voted as the winner of the award by the Green Army for January and February, after scoring two of Argyle’s four goals in a 4-1 win over Burnley, securing a place in the FAWNL Cup final.

Poole won the supporters’ pool with 57% of the vote, ahead of Tianna Teisar (20%), Arabella Suttie (14%), and Ellie Noble (9%).

Poole said: “I’m really proud and grateful to receive my third Player of the Month award this season. That being said, football is a team game, and I wouldn’t be able to perform without the support of my teammates and the staff behind the scenes.

“We’ve had some difficult games recently, but the effort, commitment and mentality from everyone have been brilliant. I’ll keep working hard, keep improving, and hopefully continue helping the team get positive results in our important upcoming matches in the final stages of the season.”
