Argyle Women travel to Wadham Lodge this Sunday, 4th December, to take on fourth-tier side London Seaward in the FA Women’s National League Cup.

Argyle's previous victory away from home to Swindon Town saw them advance further into the Vitality’s Women’s FA Cup. Ryan Perks’ side came away with a comfortable win that saw the Greens score three goals and keep a clean sheet in a dominant performance away from home.

“The girls played a professional performance,” said Perks. “We started a little bit slow in the first 15 minutes, but once we settled down we dominated the game. We scored three very good goals and probably could’ve scored more so all around a good performance.”

London Seaward are fourth in the FAWNL Southeast Division One and have won three of their last five matches in the lead-up to this League Cup clash. Unlike Argyle, London Seaward come into this fixture off the back of a 3-0 loss to Ipswich Town that saw the Anchors depart the Women’s FA Cup in the second round.

“We’re optimistic going into it,” said Perks. “They had an okay result against Ipswich which only saw them lose by three the previous week. They’ll be looking at where they are in the league relative to us and will be thinking that they can take the game to us on the weekend. We just have to be on it from the get-go and start to build off the positive performances we’ve had so far.”

The game will be held at Wadham Lodge, kick-off is at 2pm. Tickets cost £6 and concessions cost £4 whilst U14s have free entry. If you can’t make it to the game, then updates are available on social media @ArgyleWFC.
