Randell scoops January award
Adam Randell has been voted the Greens’ player of the month for January.
The Academy graduate enjoyed a fantastic month, starting five games and scoring his first Argyle goal.
With last month’s winner Panutche Camara at the African Cup of Nations, Adam stepped up and starred in a more advanced role in midfield.
His first goal came in the Greens’ 4-2 defeat to Sheffield Wednesday at Hillsborough.
The result was forgettable but the strike from Adam wasn’t. He curled in a delightful free kick from 25 yards, beating Northern Ireland goalkeeper, Bailey Peacock-Farrell, in the process.
The quality of his performances were also spotted by the Green Army who voted him man of the match in three of the five games he played.
On winning the award, Adam said, “ I’m really proud to have won January Player of the Month award.
"Every time I step out onto the pitch, I’m fully focused on trying to do my job and do what’s best for the team.
"Obviously it’s nice to be recognised individually but I just want to keep performing and contributing to being successful as a whole.
"Huge thank you to everyone who voted for me.”
Congratulations Adam.
