Argyle Under-18s midfielder Seb Campbell has been named in the League Football Education 11 for November 2025.
The LFE acknowledges performances on the pitch and in the classroom, and assesses other factors, including involvement within the local community.
Seb’s commitment to his on-pitch growth has seen multiple opportunities arise within the first team, including making his debut and becoming Argyle’s youngest-ever goalscorer.
His goal, in the Greens’ Vertu Trophy game against Tottenham Hotspur Under-21s, put him in the history books, being just 16 years and 279 days old when he came on and scored at Home Park.
Seb is working at a distinction level in the two units he has started so far, successfully balancing his studies alongside footballing commitments with the Under-18s and first-team.
He has also made good progress on his SEP (Sporting Excellence Professional), completing 50% of his portfolio – on par with others in his cohort – and has already gathered eight minutes of footage for his video showcase.
Seb continues to demonstrate a positive attitude in life skills sessions and across all aspects of his apprenticeship.
Gary Menzies, Argyle Academy’s Head of Education, said: “Since Seb started his apprenticeship and full-time training programme at the end of June 2025, he has made a great start both on and off the pitch, juggling his educational studies around various training and travel commitments.
“He joined the club with some good GCSE grades from Coombeshead School in Newton Abbot and has continued to thrive in the classroom environment and with his practical studies.
“Seb is one of several students who have been coaching in local grassroots clubs over the last couple of months and regularly attends his compensatory education sessions, working well and to his target grades set by the LFE and the club.
“His education is set to continue in the New Year, with his UEFA B Coaching badge, and he will also have an opportunity to become a qualified referee in the February half-term. Seb is a role model within the Academy and will hopefully continue to keep up his great start both on and off the pitch.”
