Support Non-League This Weekend

With Argyle’s first-team squad enjoying a rare weekend without action, and both the Academy and Women’s teams away from home, the club is encouraging members of the Green Army to support National Non-League Day this weekend.

Always scheduled to coincide with an international break, Non-League Day provides a platform for clubs to promote the importance of affordable volunteer-led community football while giving fans across the country the chance to show support for their local non-league side.

Kicking-off the non-league football this weekend, Tiverton Town host Plymouth Parkway in a Southern League Premier Division clash on Friday night, action gets underway at Ladysmead Stadium at 7.45pm.

There is a full football calendar on Non-League Day itself, with Vanarama National League Premier Division side Torquay United welcoming Dagenham & Redbridge to Plainmoor, in what is a crucial clash in the Gulls’ bid for survival.

In the Southern League Premier Division South, Finley Craske’s promotion chasing Truro City, managed by Argyle legend Paul Wotton, welcome Salisbury City to Bolitho Park. Meanwhile, in the Southern League Division One South, Brandon Pursall’s Tavistock continue their push for a play-off place when they welcome bottom-of-the-table Slimbridge. and Willand Rovers host Melksham Town.

In the Western League, Millbrook are at home to Sherborne Town, Helston Athletic host Clevedon Town and Ilfracombe Town welcome Ashton & Backwell United to Marlborough Park.
