For their first away game of the season, Argyle have made one change from the side that lost at home to Barnsley on the opening day.
Into the side comes Bim Pepple, with Brendan Wiredu moving to the bench. Joe Edwards and Freddie Issaka miss out on the squad through injury, and Caleb Roberts is included among the substitutes.
Bolton lost at Stockport County on the opening weekend of the season, and have made five changes for this game.
