In 2026, Will Evans joined from fellow Sky Bet League One side, Mansfield Town, on a two-year contract, with a club option of a further year.

The frontman progressed through the youth system at Shrewsbury Town before heading to Cardiff Metropolitan University to study teaching and play in the Cymru Premier League. He played 122 times, scoring 22 goals and earnt a move to Bala Town.

From there, Evans joined Newport County, making 107 appearances and scoring 29 goals for the Exiles. In August 2024, he signed for Mansfield and scored 25 goals in 98 games, including 10 goals in all competitions during 2025/26. The most notable came against Premier League champions, Arsenal. 

The Welshman then headed to the South West, to sign for Argyle.
