Going For Gulls

ARGYLE will face Devon neighbours Torquay United during our preparation for the 2016-17 season.

We will travel to the Launa Windows Stadium on Saturday, July 16, for a 3pm kick-off. Kevin Nicholson's Gulls have had an excellent end to their Vanarama National League campaign, seeing off a potential relegation threat to finish 18th in the final table. So impressive was their renaissance that Nicholson has recently signed a new three-year contract as manager.

Torquay are currently skippered by former Argyle midfielder Luke Young, who has recently returned from a long-term injury layoff. We met Torquay in pre-season in July 2015, winning 1-0 with a late Graham Carey goal.
