Cameron Comes In

ARGYLE have agreed to sign goalkeeper Cameron Dawson on a youth loan from Sheffield Wednesday until the end of the season.

The 18-year-old will join the Pilgrims, subject to clearance, when the loan window opens on Saturday morning. When the transfer is ratified, Cameron will be available for Argyle's Sky Bet League 2 fixture at Northampton Town.

Dawson will come in as cover for Jake Cole, who has become Argyle's first choice goalkeeper following Luke McCormick's finger injury.

Cameron is a member of the Owls' development squad, playing many times with Caolan Lavery, who had a loan spell at Home Park earlier in the season. He signed his first professional contract with Wednesday, the club he has supported all his life, in April 2013.

Dawson has represented England at Under-18 and Under-19 level. He will wear the squad number 32 at Argyle.
