Hiram Now

CRYSTAL Palace midfielder Hiram Boateng has joined Argyle on loan for the start of the new Sky Bet League season.

The 19-year-old Londoner arrives at Home Park on a deal which runs until January 2 next year.

Hiram has been at Premier League Palace since the age of eight, and made his debut for them in an FA Cup tie against Stoke City at the Britannia Stadium in 2013, barely a week after his 17th birthday.

After appearing in the Cup at West Bromwich Albion the following season, he signed professional with the Eagles and was loaned out to League 1 Crawley Town, where he played alongside his new Argyle team-mate Josh Simpson.

Last season, Hiram was on the fringes of Palace’s first team, appearing several times in the South Londoners’ match-day squad and earning a contract extension until the summer of 2017.

Born in Wandsworth, he is eligible to represent Ghana as he has both British and Ghanaian passports.

Hiram will wear the number 20 shirt during his Pilgrimage.

Welcome to Home Park, Hiram.
