A Deal to Savour

ARGYLE have unveiled market leading brand Ginsters as their shirt sponsors for the forthcoming season.

Ginsters has a long and established presence in the Westcountry, having grown from humble beginnings in the late 1960s to the No.1 savoury pastry brand in the UK today, producing 3m products a week from its Bakery in Callington. The brand has a strong affinity with football and share’s the club’s ambitions to grow and build into the future.

The two have signed an agreement that will see Ginsters as the official shirt sponsor on all first-team and away shirts and replica kits sold through official retail outlets, plus other branded opportunities.

Argyle Chief Executive Martyn Starnes welcomed the new deal and said: “We are delighted to have such a successful and well-known brand like Ginsters on board.

"Ginsters shares our ambitions for the club and we are excited about the opportunities the partnership offers. It’s great that two Westcountry brands with national recognition can support each other to mutual benefit.”

Ginsters Managing Director Kieran Hemsworth said: “Ginsters is delighted to be sponsoring a local football club which, like us, has a strong presence and heritage in the Westcountry.

"We know how loyal and passionate Argyle fans are and many of our employees are part of that loyal band of fans. Ginsters fans live and breathe football and our support for Argyle highlights our commitment to the sport and the local community.”

It is not the first time that Argyle and Ginsters have been partners. They enjoyed a hugely mutually successful nine-year relationship from 2002-2011, which included the 2003-04 League One title-winning season and saw some of the club's most iconic players wear the famous Ginsters logo.
