Argyle Youth 7-0 Chippenham

ARGYLE’S Under-17 side produced a clinical display of finishing to defeat Chippenham Town 7-0 in the sunshine at Marjon University.

Scott Crocker and Mackenzie Toms both bagged a brace for the Pilgrims, with further goals scored by Jeremiah Medine, Charlie Elkington and an Alfie Wotton penalty.

It was a terrific display of possession football against a determined opponent and Argyle did very well to create opportunities, as Chippenham sat back in a defensive formation in an attempt to contain the Green attacks.

The Pilgrims comprised entirely first-year apprentices and under-16s, except for goalkeeper Harry Townsend, who was back in the side after a bout of illness. We now move on to the next pre-season friendly against Bristol City on Saturday.
