Refunds for Macclesfield away postponement

OUR 1-1 draw against Macclesfield Town on Tuesday night was originally scheduled to be played on Saturday, December 21.

That match was postponed late on the Friday night before the game, after the EFL were unable to obtain assurances that it could go ahead in a safe manner.

Following the postponement, Argyle fans were asked to advise the club if they had suffered from irrecoverable financial losses as a result, for which we would attempt to obtain compensation from Macclesfield through the EFL.

We are still awaiting the outcome of the EFL’s discussions with Macclesfield.

Regardless, as a gesture of goodwill to our fantastic travelling fans, we are delighted to announce that the club will reimburse in full, all claims that we have received.

These one-off refunds are possible only because of the exceptional circumstances of the postponement of the original fixture. Regrettably, we are generally unable to offer any refunds for travel plans that have been cancelled because of the weather, or when a match has been postponed and rescheduled for another reason.

Those supporters who have submitted a claim should contact the Argyle Club Secretary, Zac Newton, and advise him of their preferred method of payment. This can be by personal cheque or by BACS only.

Zac can be contacted through email at zac.newton@pafc.co.uk; by ’phone on  01752 302208; or by post at Home Park Stadium.

Those requiring a BACS payment should supply an account number and sort code.
