We were delighted to welcome Princess Yachts employees and their families to Home Park for a special shirt and ticket presentation at the weekend, as the Argyle family continues its landmark partnership with the global luxury yacht manufacturer.

162 brand new home shirts were presented to children of Princess employees ahead of the 2022/23 Sky Bet League One season. Special guests were also in attendance, with Argyle first-team stars Conor Grant, James Bolton and Callum Burton welcoming families and posing for photos at the PUMA retail outlet outside the Devonport End, before Pilgrim Pete delighted the youngsters with an appearance in the Mayflower Grandstand.

The junior Pilgrims had an early opportunity to show off their new colours, receiving tickets to the Greens’ pre-season friendly match against Sky Bet Championship side Bristol City on Saturday.

With an important focus the Princess Yachts and Argyle partnership being to support the wider community, each family receiving a shirt made a donation to Plymouth Children in Poverty, a charity close to the hearts of both Princess Yachts and Argyle, dedicated to eradicating poverty in the city, and very much in-keeping with the spirit of the Project 35-branded home kits the children wore home.

Former Argyle full-back, and current Princess Yachts employee, John Uzzell, was collecting a shirt for his grandson: “My grandson is seven and is really excited to be receiving his new Argyle shirt. It’s great to see so many attending today and hopefully we’ll see them at games in the new season.

“The partnership is working really well. I’ve been associated with Princess for 15 years and we are all delighted with the benefits of the partnership and to see what else we can achieve for the community.

“We are proud to be continuing our support for Plymouth Children in Poverty as part of today’s event. A charity that is very important to Princess Yachts and its people.”

Argyle Head of Commercial Operations James Greenacre said: “We are delighted to continue our important partnership with Princess Yachts, and continue delivering positive outcomes from working together. We look forward to further engaging with Princess staff and their families, building on important outreach work in the community.

“It was so good to see the smiling faces on the children at the event as they collected their new home shirt and match ticket, and we look forward to seeing them cheering on the Greens next season.”

Simon Clare, Marketing Director at Princess Yachts adds: “We are delighted to be strengthening our links with Argyle again this season and so grateful to the club for allowing us to announce the continued relationship by offering junior replica shirts to the kids of our Princess team.”
