End of Season Celebration

LIVE | End of Season Celebration

7pm - WELCOME

Hello and welcome to the Argyle End of Season Celebration for the 2021/22 season.

Over the course of the night we will be looking back over the season, reflecting on the successes and ultimately will hand out some awards.

There will be six awards handed out this evening; the Moment of the Season, Goal of the Season, Players' Player of the Season, Manager's Award, Fans' Young Player of the Season and Fans' Player of the Season.

The order of play tonight will see guests, players and directors arrive between now and 7pm. Food will then be served and the awards will be handed out at 9:30pm.

We'll keep you up to date with everything that's going on tonight right here and on our Twitter page, @only1argyle.

7:05PM - ARRIVALS

The players have arrived, looking sharp on the red carpet.

It's great to see them all here, Brendan Galloway ready for a night of celebration.

End of Season Celebration

7:15 - BOLTON FEELING BETTER

The food has been served and people are busy tucking into their smoked salmon and cream cheese, or if they don't like fish, tomato soup.

I bumped into James Bolton just as he was arriving, he had a boot on but looked happy. He says he's doing well, just frustrated.

We also had a quick check through this evening's fixtures, I think there might be a few eyes on what is happening in Fleetwood and Sunderland.

7:20PM - GOALS GALORE

While we eat, and boy it was lovely, chat and enjoy a drink or two, everyone is being treated to the goals scored by the lads this season.

On the screens around the room a run through of every goal scored so far this season is being shown and oh my, we've scored some belters.

How good was that away win at Oxford United by the way? What a hit from Pan for the third goal.

It's great looking back through, there have been some really special moments this year.

7:40pm - CRACKING ATMOSPHERE

There is a really lovely atmosphere here tonight, players, staff and guests are all in a relaxed mood chatting about their views on how well we have done this year.

There is still a pressurised game to come, against Milton Keynes Dons, but today those pressures have gone and people are enjoying themselves.

End of Season Celebration

8:10pm - WHO GETS YOUR VOTE?

The starters are done and now the mains are on their way.

Lamb, chicken or a roasted vegetable tart are the options.

A lot of chat around the tables is who their Player of the Season is or who should win Goal of the Season.

To be honest, there are plenty of choices, it's going to be a tough pick.

An hour to go until we find out.

8:30PM - CHAIRMAN IS HERE

Simon Hallett is being his usual cheery self.

He's been walking around speaking with as many people as he can inbetween courses.

Speaking of which, cheesecake is on its way.
